Roundtable ِEvent: Cascading Climate Risks Towards Adaptive and Resilient European Societies

At the invitation of the West Asia-North Africa Institute and the Chtham House, twenty professionals gathered for an informal morning discussion on the cascading climate risks and resilience options in the Middle East and North Africa region.  The discussion revolved around the CASCADES project, which studies the impact of climate change on trade, investment, sustainable development and security in the European neighborhoud with the aim of improving regional cooperation. This report assesses the current situation and future projections of possible and likely biophysical climate impacts in the MENA region, based on a literature review, news articles and CASCADES climate impact data analysis.
