Sustainable Development: Arab Preparatory Meeting

Sustainable Development researcher Reem AlHaddadin will be participating in the Arab Preparatory Meeting in Beirut on 27 and 28 March organised by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) in partnership with the League of Arab States (LAS).

The Preparatory Meeting will review and discuss key energy challenges facing the region and propose recommendations for achieving sustainable development in support of national policy-makers. The outcomes of the meeting will be submitted to the 2018 Arab Forum on Sustainable Development and the Highly Level Political Forum.

Participants will discuss pathways towards achieving the SDG7 targets and explore how sustainable energy can help address a much broader spectrum of SDGs.
