The project aims to enhance the socio-economic and environmental resilience of Jordanian households by empowering women through the integration of a resource usage efficiency approach. The approach includes providing practical, hands-on training in efficient resource utilisation, such as recycling food waste to produce environmentally friendly organic fertiliser for home gardening, while also reducing water and energy consumption through the introduction of water- and energy-saving devices and basic household maintenance techniques. This will foster self-reliance, enhance food, water, and energy security at the household level, and contribute to environmental protection. Ultimately, the project aims to transform women into active agents of change, promote environmental stewardship, and strengthen social empowerment.
