The Fellowship Programme offers graduates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a unique working environment in preparation for careers in international affairs, research, politics and development.

 

El Hassan Fellowship Programme

Launched in 2014, the El Hassan Fellowship Programme invites outstanding graduates from distinguished Masters and PhD programmes to join the WANA Institute team. By targeting this specific group after the completion of the their studies, but before they enter the workforce, the Institute is investing in a new generation of socially conscious change makers and thought leaders.

Fellows report to the Executive Director of the WANA Institute, and work under the ultimate guidance and mentorship of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal.

There is an intake of Fellows in January and August each year with each programme running for 12 months.

Thematic areas

Fellows are required to have a Masters Degree in one (or more) of the following areas:

  • International law/justice
  • Middle East studies
  • Political science
  • International development studies
  • Environmental science/environmental politics
  • Interfaith studies/theology
  • Refugee studies
  • Conflict studies
