Pursuing Supranational Solutions to the Challenges of Carrying Capacity
Building on the work of the 1st WANA Forum, the 2010 Forum focused on advancing the priority issues of reconstruction and recovery, green economy, water and energy, education for sustainable development, the revival of hima, and social cohesion.
The 2010 Forum placed its main focus on capacity building as a whole, which requires solid research, the consolidation of data and the establishment of an electronic public forum for the sharing of lessons and good practices on all of the WANA Forum priority issues.
The topics discussed ranged from environmental issues, to post-conflict recovery, to social cohesion. The participants represented various organisations including the Jordan University of Science and Technology, the Jordanian Ministry of Environment and UNHCR.
