Employment of People with Hearing and Visual Disabilities in Al Karak District

This paper sheds light on the issue of employing people with disabilities in Al Karak District by examining the lived reality and identifying challenges from social and economic perspectives. The paper offers a set of recommendations to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities and enhance their integration into the labour market. These include achieving partnerships between the private and public sectors and vocational training institutions to provide a suitable and appropriate work environment, launching advocacy campaigns, and supportive programmes provided by civil and international communities that work to raise awareness among employers, local communities, and people with disabilities about the rights of people with disabilities, including their right to find job opportunities that respect their dignity.
