Monthly Speaker Session with Eng. Shada El-Sharif

On August 1, the WANA Institute, in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung – Jordan Office, hosted Eng. Shada El-Sharif, Founder and CEO of SustainMENA, for an engaging discussion on green growth and green policies in Jordan, for this month's session of the WANA-KAS Think Tank School.

Eng. Shada has worked in the sustainable development space for 20+ years, with experience spanning the public sector, private sector, and civil society, and has also contributed to discussions on Jordan's Economic Modernisation Vision. During the discussion, she focused on the importance of policies and regulations for driving more sustainable solutions, and the importance of climate being viewed as an economic issue to unlock green solutions.

Participants also had the opportunity to discuss their diverse research topics with our esteemed speaker, gaining valuable insights on green partnerships, waste management, and integrated water resources management.
