Youth and Local Government as Partners of Security

Human Security researcher Barik Mhadeen will facilitate a workshop in Larnaca, Cyprus on 30 September, discussing security partnerships around the Mediterranean. The session is titled “Youth and Local Government as Partners of Security” and is the second meeting of a core group of senior experts formed by the George C. Marshall Centre for Security Studies in October 2017. The group aims to develop a shared vision for security partnerships in the Mediterranean region. The George C. Marshall Centre, a European security policy and defense think-tank, will be hosting the workshop in partnership with the Cyprus Diplomatic Academy. More follow-up meetings and dialogues are set to take place next year.
