Filmmaking competition: "Empowering Jordanian youth to advocate for the SDGs 5, 11, 16 through media"

The WANA Institute held the filmmaking competition "Empowering Jordanian youth to advocate for the SDGs 5, 11, 16 through media". The trainees produced 7 short videos containing with a caption about a local community issue relating to the SDGs 5, 11, and 16. All of the participant's films were screened at Al-Salt Film Centre, and then a jury of WANA and ADF selected the best 3 videos based on pre-determined criteria. The winners were awarded a cultural visit to Sweden hosted by our partner Another Development Foundation. The visit provides the winners with the opportunity to meet Swedish students and present their local realities and learn about the realities in Sweden. They will also receive training from professional Swedish experts in creative communication.
