Validation Consultation for the Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security

Human Security researcher Barik Mhadeen will participate in the "Validation Consultation for the Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security" in New York from 18 - 19 November.

The Validation Consultation, co-organised by the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation and the UNFPA/PBSO Secretariat, will be the final in a series of consultations for the Progress Study mandated by UNSCR 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security.

The consultation will bring 2 to 4 outstanding participants from each regional consultation conducted between December 2016 and September 2017: Arab States, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe & Central Asia, East and Southern Africa, Europe, Latin America-Caribbean, and West Africa.

The key findings and recommendations identified in the Study will be presented and discussed to ensure they reflect what was discussed in the various regional consultations as well as the views and priorities of the young participants who attended.
