WANA Institute Featured in Together We Stand, a UNOCHA and Tudor Rose Publication for the World Humanitarian Summit

The WANA Institute was featured with an article in Together We Stand, which is a public-private partnership publication by Tudor House and UNOCHA for the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul 23-24 May. The book collected short articles from various humanitarian actors, who drew on their knowledge, experience and expertise, and presented case studies from their portfolios of work. The contribution from us spoke of how a think tank like WANA Institute has been and can continue to be a constructive and necessary agent in the humanitarian field.

In many respects, the magnitude and severity of humanitarian crises reached unprecedented levels in 2016 – especially in the West Asia-North Africa region. As Dr Erica Harper and Adel Elsayed Sparr put it in the article: “Now can be an opportunity to build this region from within for the first time in history; to build genuine partnerships, cooperation and resilience. The WANA Institute is an authentic voice from the region, and by generating knowledge about the region, for the region, we believe that together with our partners, we can also play an important role in building resilience in the region.”

We are delighted to share a space in this publication with Ministers, Ambassadors, and distinguished individuals, and prominent organisations such as World Vision, Mercy Corps and Trocaire. Read the full article here.
