The West Asia-North Africa (WANA) Institute sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Radio Al Balad

The West Asia-North Africa (WANA) Institute of the Royal Scientific Society has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Radio Al-Balad to deepen cooperation on human security, sustainable development, and social justice.
The MoU was signed on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, by Etaf Roudan, Deputy Manager at the Community Media Network, and Director of Radio Al Balad, and the WANA Institute Director General Dr. Majd Al Naber.

The parties agreed to enhance cooperation between the two institutions in joint work and interest areas, especially those related to equality, climate change, sustainable development, human security, social protection, and inclusive justice. The parties also emphasised the importance of creating media spaces that inform listeners of evidence-based research on topics relevant to local communities.

Both parties highlighted the importance of partnerships among civil society organisations working in human rights and emphasised the need to encourage and develop these collaborations. This partnership aims to broaden the scope of joint research and scientific cooperation in human rights, human security, and sustainable development.
